Application procedure

If you wish to apply for
one of our vacancies or
standard job descriptions, please follow the steps below.
This procedure sometimes varies slightly.
For example, the number of interviews will depend on the level of difficulty of the position, and the workload of the department will affect the amount of time it takes to respond to an application.
1) Demonstrate in your letter of motivation on which points your experience matches the job requirements. Then send your CV and letter of motivation via email to War Child at recruitment@warchild.nl. Please keep your CV as concise as possible (five pages max).
2) We try to confirm receipt of all applications in an e-mail and you can expect a reply after approximately four weeks unless we have stated in the vacancy text that only selected candidates will receive a reply.
3) There are four possible replies:
- you are invited to an interview
- we inform you that you have been put on the reserve list
- we inform you that we will keep your name on file for future openings
- we inform you that your application has been rejected. Please note that due to the large number of responses, we are unable to give personal feedback regarding the exact reasons for rejections
4) If we keep your CV on file, we will contact you when a suitable position becomes available. Do remain pro-active and check our vacancy site on a regular basis. If you think you might qualify for one of the jobs please send us an e-mail.
5) If you are invited for an interview, this can either be in person or by telephone. If you live abroad, interviews will be conducted by telephone. For an interview in person you will be invited to our head office in Amsterdam.
